Refund policy
We take great pride in the quality of our products, however, as they are handmade occasionally things can go wrong. As many of our items are made from leather, being a natural product, no two items will look the same. Differences in texture and variations are not faults, but a valued quality of real full grain leather. Please take into account that due to the differences in monitor settings, colours and textures may appear different in real life than when viewed on your computer. Every effort has been made to represent our goods as true to life as possible. We hope you understand.
If you have purchased one of our products that you consider faulty, please return to the point of purchase for an exchange, repair or refund. Although we will ensure any major technical faults are promptly dealt with, wear and tear is not considered a fault. We reserve the right to repair or replace items with minor faults at our discretion.
Our returns policy for a change of mind strictly lasts for 30 days from date of purchase. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund or exchange beyond this time frame. Please be aware of this time frame when posting. The postage time should be taken into account when returning for a change of mind, as this may affect our ability to refund for you outside of this 30 day limit.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging with tags attached.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
How to prepare your parcel for return:
1. Complete the packing slip which came with your parcel, filling in the quantity and reason for return
2. Create a Return with Australia Post, enter your details and payment, print your label and pack your item.
3. Post by simply dropping off your parcel at a convenient street post box, Post office or Parcel Locker.
WARRANTY
All our products are covered by up to 12 months warranty (from time of purchase with proof of purchase) for manufacturing faults.
Our warranty applies to products used under normal conditions and for the purpose intended and doesn’t apply to damage caused by normal wear and tear, misuse or neglect.
OUR CHANGE OF MIND POLICY
At Lake Leather, we are happy to offer a refund or exchange for change of mind on most full price merchandise purchased online only, if notified within 14 days from date of receipt. (This different from our bricks-and-mortar store policy where we DO NOT offer a refund for a change of mind: you can exchange or receive a credit note).
REFUNDS
Please allow 10 business days from the date your parcel is recieved for your return to be processed and your account to be credited. Once your return has been processed you will be notified via the email address provided with your original online order. Slight delays to return processing may be experienced during busy sale and promotional periods, due to higher volumes. Postage cost are non-refundable, any postage paid will be deducted from your refund total.
LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS
If your refund has yet to be received, we advise you to first check your bank account before contacting your credit card company and/or bank as it may take some processing time before your refund is officially posted.

SALE ITEMS
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded. We may offer an exchange or a credit voucher at our discretion on sale items.
EXCHANGES
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. We reserve the right to have minor faults repaired at our discretion. If you need to exchange your purchase for the same item, please notify us first by email at: evandale@lakeleather.com.au

GIFTS
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be posted to you.
If the item was not marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves, we will send the refund directly to the gift giver.
EXEMPTIONS
We do not offer a cash refund on gift vouchers or gift certificates. We will not accept used items when returned for a change of mind; please see our return requirements above. We do not offer a postal return service for items purchased instore for a change of mind. Postage charges are non-refundable. Every effort has been made to represent our goods as truly as possible, please be aware that due to monitor settings colours and textures may appear different on screen than in reality. We hope you understand.

You are responsible for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable and will be deducted from your refund total. The time it will take for your exchanged purchase to reach you may vary depending on where you reside.
If returning an item exceeding $75 in value, please consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance as we do not provide a guarantee of receipt of returned items.
