Lake Leather Tas Pty Ltd ("Lake Leather", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share your personal information when you visit www.lakeleather.com.au (the "Site"), shop with us online or in our stores, or sign up to hear from us. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
WHAT WE COLLECT
When you place an order or contact us, we collect information such as your name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number and order details. Payments are processed by our payment providers (such as Shopify Payments, PayPal and Afterpay); we do not store your full card details.
When you browse the Site, we automatically collect information about your device and visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages and products you view, and how you arrived at the Site. We collect this using cookies, pixels and similar technologies.
If you join our mailing list or loyalty program, we collect the details you give us, such as your name, email address and purchase history.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your personal information to:
- process, deliver and support your orders, returns and warranty claims;
- communicate with you about your order or enquiry;
- send you news and offers, if you have agreed to receive them;
- run our loyalty program;

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run our business, for example:
- Shopify, which hosts our online store;
- payment providers such as PayPal and Afterpay;
- Australia Post, to deliver your order;
- our email marketing provider, Klaviyo;
- analytics and advertising services such as Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram).
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States, Canada and the European Union. We take reasonable steps to ensure they protect your information. We may also disclose information where required by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
MARKETING AND ADVERTISING
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, or by contacting us. We use cookies and advertising pixels to show you relevant ads on other websites and social media. You can manage or block cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of personalised ads through your Google (adssettings.google.com) and Meta account settings.
KEEPING YOUR INFORMATION SAFE
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep order information for as long as we need it for our records, warranty purposes and legal obligations.
ACCESSING OR CORRECTING YOUR INFORMATION
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time.
CHILDREN
The Site is not intended for children under 18. If you are under 18, please shop with the help of a parent or guardian.
