How to Measure Your Feet
-
Place a sheet of paper on a hard, level floor with one edge against a wall.
-
Stand on the paper with your heel lightly touching the wall and your weight evenly distributed.
-
Mark the tip of your longest toe, then measure from the edge of the paper at the wall to your mark in centimetres.
-
Repeat for your other foot and use the longer measurement.
Measure towards the end of the day, wearing the socks or stockings you plan to wear with your shoes.
Finding Your Best Fit
Your shoes should feel secure and comfortable, with room for your toes to move freely. Check the product page for any fit advice specific to your chosen style.
-
Between sizes? Check the brand’s guidance or ask our team before sizing up or down.
-
Wider feet? A wider-fitting style may be more comfortable. Going up a size adds length and won’t always provide the width you need.
-
Narrower feet? Adjustable straps, buckles or laces can help achieve a more secure fit.
-
Trying them on at home? Walk around indoors on a clean surface to check for pressure, rubbing or excessive heel movement.
A Note on Leather Footwear
Leather can soften and mould to your feet with wear, but your shoes should feel comfortable from the start. They shouldn’t pinch, squeeze your toes or feel too short. Don’t rely on stretching to make an uncomfortable shoe fit.
