If you live in the Evandale area, chances are you've caught a glimpse of some magnificent vintage cars cruising through the streets. And more often than not, the man behind the wheel or under the hood is none other than the charismatic John. John has charmed his way into the hearts of many with his stories of home (the U.K and Rhodesia) and undeniable passion for classic cars.
John embarked on an adventurous journey later in life that led him to the sunny shores of Australia. He lived and travelled across the country until he finally settled in our local area, about a decade ago.
Before retirement John was a mechanic by trade. He has always loved vehicles and his face lights up when he talk's about the cars and motorbikes he's loved and driven over decades. There's something magical about the gleam in his eye when he talks of a perfectly restored classic car.
John has also been kind enough to allow Lake Leather to use his vintage automobiles for past campaigns and even committed to wearing a wig for stunt double duties!
We think he looks rather dapper in this leather flat cap, but we also know the reality of restoring cars can often be dirty, that's why he uses his Lake Leather apron to protect himself from grease and abrasion.
Made right here in our Evandale workshop, these leather aprons are a versatile and classic staple.
